Layout & hygiene zones

Product flow, people flow, cleaning flow, waste, and maintenance need compatible routes.

Place raw handling, exposed product, filled packs, chemical storage, cleaning return, waste, maintenance access, operator stations, ventilation and drainage against the facility's zoning and hazard plan. Show slopes, low points, hose or spray reach, open-product exposure, overhead contamination risks, pressure relationships and temporary work areas.

Use a three-dimensional access review before approval: trace normal operation, inspection, sampling, part removal, lifting, clean-out, spill response, emergency egress and future expansion. A compact layout that cannot be cleaned, operated or maintained safely is not an integrated line.

Controls boundary

Write the handshakes before commissioning.

Define signal ownership, healthy, ready, run and fault states, line stop categories, accumulation logic, recipe parameters, authority levels, alarm philosophy, time synchronization, data retention, remote access policy, cybersecurity boundary, backups, and recovery tests.

At FAT, force interface states and record expected responses. At SAT, verify the installed network, instruments, utilities, field devices, safety systems, and package flow under approved conditions.
