Useful when recipes and hold points change.

Batch processing can support flexible sequencing, deliberate additions, sampling, and defined lots. Its real output depends on usable vessel volume, fill/heat/hold/cool/discharge time, cleaning, changeovers, staffing, and downstream availability.

Continuous

Useful when the product and demand are stable.

Continuous processing can reduce repeated batch transitions, but it needs stable feeds, controlled residence conditions, balanced upstream/downstream capacity, diversion logic, start-up and shutdown plans, and a cleaning strategy that matches campaigns.
