Cleaning & service
Drain low points, inspect screens and clean the water/product interface between batches.
Processing equipment / Prepare
Condition dried ingredients when the chosen sauce route needs absorbed water.
What it does
A batch vessel with controlled filling, drainage and accessible product removal supports repeatable wetting. Agitation and heating are options, not default process instructions.
Specify dry matter, chili form and whether retained liquid enters the sauce. Hydration changes the downstream mass balance and milling duty.
Not compulsory for every dried chili recipe. This equipment description supplies no universal soaking temperature or time.
| Selection parameter | Information to establish |
|---|---|
| Ingredient | Whole dried pod, flake or another specified form |
| Mass balance | Added, absorbed and removed water |
| Batch duty | Working load and cleaning turnaround |
Drain low points, inspect screens and clean the water/product interface between batches.
Record incoming dry mass, water addition, drained mass and transfer timing so the formulation basis remains consistent.
Track uptake variation and cutter/mill feed behaviour over representative ingredient lots.
Process map
Varies with the material and texture route.
Inspected dried chili and a specified water addition.
Conditioned chili with measured retained water and a defined drainage step.
